Spanish immigration procedure
Changing your work permit
If you already had a card that allowed you to work and your employment situation has changed, we adapt your permit to your specific case without you losing your residence.
Fees
€449 incl. VAT
VAT and immigration fee included. Does not include apostilles or legalisations, sworn translations, consular fees, the card fee (TIE) or the immigration office appointment.
- Before charging you, we check that your case fits this route
- We tell you which documents you need for your specific situation
- We file and follow the case through to the decision
Is this your case?
- Your current permit already allowed you to work and your employment situation has changed: another job, end of contract, or you want to register as self-employed.
- You have been resident with your current permit for a minimum period; we check it in the questionnaire on this page.
- You can prove your situation with one of the cases recognised by the rules: same employer, new employer, registered jobseeker, a benefit, or a relative who meets the requirements to sponsor you.
For these cases it is a different procedure
- Your current card or permit does NOT allow you to work (for example, you come from a student stay): the right procedure is the change to residence and work, not this one.
If you are not sure, take the test and we'll tell you which one applies to you.
How it works
-
We check your case
You answer the questionnaire on this page and, before charging you anything, we tell you whether your employment situation fits one of the cases this procedure allows.
-
We gather your documents
We tell you exactly which documents you need for your specific employment case, not a generic list, only what applies to you.
-
We file and follow your application
We file the application and keep you informed at every step until the decision.
Check whether your case fits
Before charging you anything. It is a few questions and we tell you whether we can handle it or whether it is better to review it in a consultation.
We have already reviewed your case in your consultation.
You don't need to tell us anything again: go straight to your details and we apply your €50 discount when you pay.
Enter the code we emailed you and go straight to your details, without answering anything.
Which documents you need
To process the change of your permit we need these documents:
- Complete copy of your valid passport or travel document or, where applicable, valid registration certificate (cédula de inscripción).
- Up-to-date Social Security employment history report (vida laboral).
- Decision granting your previous permit.
- TIE (front and back).
- If you have dependent children of compulsory school age: report issued by the school or by the competent regional or national authority.
You don't need to have everything today: when you hire us we send you this list and review it with you.
